BHOOMIPUTRA

This game is made in the honor of our honorable ex-chief minister Lt. Biju Patnaik. Biju Patnaik, who was an ace pilot, had flown the Dakota to Java with his wife Gyan Patnaik, also a pilot, to rescue Sultan Sjahrir and Achmad Sukarno, freedom fighters of Indonesia from a jungle hideout in 1947. This whole story is depicted in the form of the game Bhoomiputra. Through this game we want people to be aware of his contribution to the Indonesian struggle movement.

Biju Babu was also instrumental in assisting Indonesia with its bout for Independence from the Dutch in 1947. The same indomitable spirit had him fly to India the leaders of the Indonesian freedom struggle, despite the threat of his plane being shot down by the Dutch Colonial rulers. The Indonesian Prime Minister Sutan Sjahrir was placed under surveillance by the colonial Dutch, who had had absolute control over Indonesian sea and air routes, and did not let him leave the country. Nehru entrusted the task of rescuing Sutan Sjahrir to Biju Patnaik, who was an expert Pilot and was famous for his passion for adventurous achievements. Biju Patnaik sprang up to instant action.

As an avid reader of the history of Kalinga, Biju Babu knew how Kalinga and Indonesia had a long-standing cultural link in the past, and now was the opportunity to render some service to the people of Indonesia in their crucial hour of need. He braved all hazards and flew to Java and brought Sutan Sjahrir and staff aboard from Java islands on 22 July 1947 by his own Dacota to Singapore, and finally to Delhi, where Sjahrir was able to meet Jawaharlal Nehru. An indebted Indonesia conferred the highest civilian award, Bhumi Putra to this valiant personality and even it is heard that the Indonesian government offered a huge tract of land to him which he returned back politely.

The complete game “BHOOMIPUTRA” revolves around the storyline of indonesian war with dutch at the time of independence and the key role of great person Biju Patnaik in rescuing the then prime prime minister and vice president of Indonesia.

How he flewed his humsafar plane Dakota and accepted the challenge to move to Indonesia in the war time.What are the severe challenges he faced in his complete war journey,all storyline in is dipicted in the form of this game BHOOMIPUTRA.

The game is having three levels namely Jakarta Calling , Baliyatra and the final Bhoomiputra. All levels have different challenges and missions,the players who play the game have to pass all the missions successfully to get on the next level,and in the mean time of playing the player always feels the taste of nationalism,and contribution of Biju Babu in the war , which makes them feel proud.
